Lotto Belisol: Adam Hansen has extended his contract

Today we can announce that also Adam Hansen has signed an agreement with Lotto Belisol for two more years. In May the 32-year-old Australian won the 7th stage of the Giro. On top of that the Aussie is part of the sprint train of André Greipel, it’s his job to speed up the tempo in the final phase. Just like last season Hansen wants to ride all three Grand Tours. At the moment he’s participating in the Tour de France. The rider is known in the team and with the cycling fans for his jokes.

Adam Hansen: “If you can extend your contract it obviously means you’re doing something right. There are many reasons why I chose to stay with Lotto Belisol. I like the mentality in the team. It’s nice to have goals in the team when you’re going to a race and that you can help riders like Jurgen Van den Broeck and André Greipel. But I also get to go my own chance and that’s important to me as well. I love taking part in Giro, Tour and Vuelta and the team gives me the opportunity to do that. And I got a puppy dog last year which I named him Lotto, so that’s also a reason why I must stay with Lotto Belisol, because I can’t change the name of my dog (laughs).”
