Lotto Belisol: Boris Vallée becomes pro at Lotto Belisol

The 20-year-old Boris Vallée has closed a contract with Lotto Belisol for the next two seasons. On the 9th of July Vallée became time trial champion U23 of Wallonie in Chimay. With this he continued a series after he already took the title with the novices and juniors. On top of that he finished fourth this year in the Lotto Topcompetition U27, after his victory in the Grand Prix Criquielion among other. In 2010 he became Olympian junior champion in the road race after he became 6th in the time trial four days earlier.

Boris Vallée: “It’s a privilege to be riding for Lotto Belisol. I’m already cycling in competition since I was eight years old. I have a pro contract now and want to continue my growth. At the moment I ride for Color Code – Bio.wanze and the team has prepared me the previous two seasons to start my professional career. Christophe Brandt, who rode several years in the Lotto team, is sports director here. With this team we already ride pro races and this year I won the GP Criquielion. That’s why I feel ready to set this step.”

“The time trial is a point which I try to improve year after year. But I prefer sprinting and riding offensively. I’m a classical rider, but also perform well in stage races. The next two seasons I’d like to prove that I’m worth this step by working for the team. In the smaller tours I’d like to take my chance in one of the stages, but most of all I hope to perform constantly the whole year.”
