What's Cool In Road Cycling

Lotto Belisol: Medical bulletin of Van den Broeck, Dockx and Henderson

This morning Jurgen Van den Broeck visited the doctor for a checkup of the injuries he incurred in stage two of Tirreno-Adriatico. Like expected he got positive news. Some dead tissue around the cut was removed; also the other injuries are evolving well. Today and tomorrow Jurgen can ride on the rolls again, as of Thursday he can resume the normal training sessions. If those go well, Van den Broeck will start in the Volta a Catalunya next Monday.

Sunday evening Gert Dockx had surgery of a dislocated fracture of his left collarbone, which he incurred in Dwars door Drenthe. After seven to ten days of inactivity the training on the rolls can be resumed.

Greg Henderson, who left the Three Days of West-Flanders, one day before the end, responds well to the draining of the infected wound on his knee and will start in Catalunya as well.
