New Look for the Monte Grappa Cycle Race
Website and routes totally restored
Less than four months until the take off of the second edition of the Monte Grappa Cycling, anticipated this year to the 26th of July, during the “warmest” period of scheduled races. Many news for this edition: change of date, routes completely renovated in collaboration with Eng. Stefano Di Santo, cartographer of the Giro d’Italia, and a new website reviewed both in graphics and in content.
A major effort that shows the desire of the organizing committee to make a real breakthrough.
“The first edition of the Monte Grappa Cycling was a great success. The goal is to become over the years one of the highlights of the amateur cycling scene.” says Marco Sartori, President of the Association.
The new website features a graphic of high impact and a ‘user friendly’ approach, with easily accessible content where you can find curiosities, tourist information and historical facts relating to the territory crossed by the race. Of particular interest is the section about the Great War (1915-1918) which tells the history, right in the year of the celebrations of the centenary, of how Mount Grappa became symbol of the Italian heroism after the defeat of Caporetto (1917).
In addition to the “Climb of the Heroes”, with gradients up to 26% in some points that you will find only in the Granfondo route, this year one of the most significant passages for both routes will be in the town of Cismon del Grappa, where participants will tackle a new climb, never faced in a cycling competition.
Granfondo: 118.5 km
Mediofondo: 79.7 km
The registration fee remains stuck at €40 until July 23 when the online registration will close. You will have the opportunity to register on site, with a small surcharge, even the day before the competition (from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) or the same morning of the race (from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.). Teams have a special offer: every five riders signed up the sixth will be free.
