North Wales set to Welcome Thousands of Cyclists and Supporters!

THE Snowdonia Cycle Sportive – The Etape Eryri is set to welcome thousands of keen cyclists and passionate supporters to North Wales this Sunday!

The sportive, which starts and finishes at the iconic Caernarfon Castle, explores the most breathtaking and scenic roads in the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Organised by local cycling enthusiasts and award winning event organisers, Always Aim High Events. This Sunday (21st June) will see the Etape Eryri storm into its fourth year!

Over 200 of the cyclists entered will tackle the Chain Reaction Cycles Etape Xtrem on Sunday! The Xtrem, brand new for 2015 has added yet another dimension to this already ultra-popular cycle sportive. The Etape Xtrem, which is the UK’s toughest and longest one-day cycle sportive consists of 226 grueling but epic miles.

The remaining 1,100 plus cyclists within the field will be tackling either the Bach (47miles), Canol (76miles) or Mawr (103miles) route.

Event planner and Always Aim High Events Director, Tim Lloyd, is excited for the sportive this weekend:

“It will be great to see the Etape Eryri enter its fourth year this Sunday, we are honored to be able to welcome so many cyclists to this beautiful and amazing area!

Lloyd continued: “Everybody at AAHE can’t wait until Sunday, we work hard throughout the year to ensure that we deliver unforgettable, high quality events and the Etape Eryri will certainly be no different.”

AAHE are not only famous for their events but also, for the fantastic festival atmosphere their events generate. The event village this Sunday will once again be at the Castle Square in Caernarfon.

Event Manager Rob Samuel has called for people to come and support the sportive, as well as getting involved in the attractions and entertainment Always Aim High Events will be putting on.

“As with all Always Aim High events we will be organising plenty of local food vendors, attractions and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy – so if you’re in the area make sure you come down to the event village – it’s going to be a great day! We are also calling for as many people as possible to line the streets, support the event and give the cyclists a cheer on their way past.”

Registration for this fantastic event is still available (until Wednesday 17th). Therefore if you’re planning on joining thousands of other cyclists all-online registration and further information about the event can be found at: www.etapeeryri.com.
