Northwave and Lampre-Merida Together in 2015 and 2016
The Italian World Tour team to face the World Tour calendar with Extreme Tech Plus shoes.
Northwave and its founder and owner Gianni Piva proudly announce a new partnership deal for 2015 and 2016 season with Giuseppe Saronni’s Team Lampre-Merida, the only Italian World Tour team. Northwave will be official shoe supplier of the team, with top-range model Extreme Tech Plus.

Giuseppe Saronni’s line-up, one of the longest-running teams in cycling, tackles 2015 to try and improve a very solid, 27-win 2014 season.
With their new Northwave Extreme Tech Plus shoes, Lampre-Merida riders will go for the big goal in World Tour and Continental calendar events, looking to be always in the very thick of the action in the most prestigious races, starting with Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix.

NORTHWAVE EXTREME TECH PLUS
Northwave Extreme Tech Plus – the latest top-range road model designed by Northwave – collected unanimous consensus as one of the top choices on the market, with its combination of stiffness, lightness and comfort, all in a very reduced weight – 245 grams.
Projected with the exclusive BioMap system by Northwave, Extreme Tech Plus is designed to be anatomically compatible shoes for any rider’s foot, optimizing force transmission while minimizing the waste on energy. The seamless, Unibody construction allows a way-better fit of the upper on the foot, providing a better anatomic design and further reducing the overall weight. The upper is built with a cutting-edge microfiber, whose characteristics help the shoe to get and more and more suited to the rider’s feet as time goes by.
The ultra-thin, 60 gr. Ultralight Carbon sole provides stiffness, performance and comfort at the same time: Northwave’s exclusive and innovative Airflow System ensures a better air circulation in and out the shoe, thanks to large and specifically-positioned vents.
