Preview: Le Samyn des Dames
Bigla Pro Cycling Team will line up tomorrow in Le Samyn des Dames. Last Saturday the team kicked off its European season in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and will continue its campaign in Belgium tomorrow. The race takes place over 112km. Sport Director, Manel Lacambra says the race has experience and knows the race well after new signings Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Shelley Olds finished 2nd in the race in 2014 and 2013, respectively.
Sports Director, Manal Lacambra:
Without looking at the final result I saw some good positive things from our team and that we are getting better. We knew we need more time than the other ones, being a new team, but we know success will arrive. Unfortunately a crash, sickness and some mechanical problems didn’t help us to perform well in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. But we are always very motivated and we are already thinking about the next race.
For Le Samyn we have a good roster too. Ashleigh [Moolman-Pasio] was 2nd in 2014 and Shelley [Olds] was 2nd in 2013. Together with the other girls we hope for a good result. The course is technical, bad road conditions, windy, cold, possible raining and with some cobble sections. Like all the Belgium classics sure it will be a hard race.
