RBC GranFondo Whistler 152km Distance Option Almost Sold Out

Fewer than 50 spots remain!

Five hundred pioneering cyclists will ride the new 152km “Forte” route from Vancouver to Whistler, which includes an ascent up famed Cypress Mountain. Adding over 800 meters of vertical to the RBC GranFondo Whistler route, the Forte will have a total of 2500 meters of vertical gain.

This new addition to the RBC GranFondo Whistler portfolio (joining the GranFondo 122km and Medio 55km), has been introduced to celebrate the fifth anniversary of this iconic event.

“We are truly excited about adding the Forte to the 2014 RBC GranFondo Whistler” says Neil McKinnon, founder GranFondo Canada “it represents a unique challenge for the seasoned rider and places this event as one of the most challenging in North America’.

Forte participants will leave one hour before the main pack and will share in all the same benefits like a dedicated cycling lane and fully supported experience. All event participants will celebrate their achievement together at the iconic and festive finish in Whistler.

Fewer than 50 of the 500 spots allocated to the 152 km route remain.

The fifth-annual RBC GranFondo Whistler takes place September 6, 2014.
