ASD Fausto Coppi on the road announced the opening of the entries for the 33rd International Granfondo La Fausto Coppi Officine Mattio.
In fact, from 10am of Saturday 21st of September it is possible to register to the marathon, by accessing the portal https://shop.endu.net/edit/51445.
The 2020 edition will start as per tradition from Piazza Galimberti in Cuneo on Sunday 28th of June 2020. Participation from more than 35 countries is expected.
The closed number of 2800 cyclists has been confirmed.
With the official start of registrations, 500 bibs are available at the reduced rate of 40 €. The entry fee will then be increased to € 45, until the 31st of December 2019.
In 2020, the ranges will be as follows:
· € 50,00 from 01/01/2020 to 31/03/2020
· € 55,00 from 01/04/2020 to 15/05/2020
· € 60,00 from 16/05/2020 to 25/06/2020 subject to availability
Two routes: the Granfondo of 177 km and 4125 m of total altitude and the Mediofondo of 111 km with 2500m of total altitude. As always, the division of the two routes takes place at the Soleri viaduct in Cuneo, and then plunges into the race passing through the Valle Varaita, Valle Grana, Valle Maira, Gesso and Stura.
The GPM for both circuits is set at the Colle Fauniera, with an uphill of 22,3km to reach the top at 2481m.
The solidarity grid has been expanded to 200 bibs at 100 € each. The bib will allow starting in the front row and all profits will be donated to the “Save the mountain roads” project. This year, thanks to the granfondo and to the crowd funding initiative organized by ASD Fausto Coppi on the road in collaboration with ConfCommercio Cuneo (hashtag #salviamolestradedimontagna), various works have been carried out to make the roads from Castelmagno to Fauniera, and of Madonna del Colletto and Val Mala safer.
