Richeze 2nd in the sprinters battle in Tokyo

Team LAMPRE-MERIDA would have liked to complete its participation in Tour of Japan winning the final stage in Tokyo, but Japanese sprinter Nishitani forced blue-fuchsia-green team to give up its plans.

Richeze, who was the captain of LAMPRE-MERIDA for the stage, performed a good sprint, pedaling on his Merida bike at 73 km/h, but it was not enough: Nishitani overtook him in the final meters and he preceded the Argentinian cyclist for few centimeters (www.toj.co.jp/2013)

These are Richeze’s words: “I’m sorry I could not complete a positive week for LAMPRE-MERIDA with a victory that has not been obtained for few centimeters.
