Rubiano and Pantano to lead Team Colombia at GP Nobili
After some days training away from races, it’s now time for Team Colombia to get back in the mix: Italian one-day race GP Nobili Rubinetterie expects Claudio Corti’s Escarabajos on Thursday, March 20th.
On the 187 km distance from Suno to Stresa, punctuated by two ascents to the Massino climb, Sports Director Oscar Pellicioli will rely on an in-form line-up, determined to stretch the good momentum of results and performance.
After their strong display at Roma Maxima, Jarlinson Pantano and Miguel Angel Rubiano will look to play their chances in case of a reduced sprint – as it happened several times over the last few editions, but not last year, when Luxembourger Jungels soloed to the finish after a long breakaway effort that had included Colombia’s Edwin Avila.
Attention will be needed since the early going, and Pellicioli will be able to count on the good condition of Duber Quintero, Carlos Julian Quintero and Juan Pablo Valencia, who fared very well in Malaysia, as well as on Fabio Duarte’s class and on the enthusiasm of youngsters Jonathan Paredes and Edward Diaz.
