Yesterday the UCI released the list of the teams that passed the license application procedure for the season of 2015. RusVelo is one of nineteen squads, which applied for Pro Continental status.

The Russian team has already re-signed eight riders: Ivan Balykin (1 year), Artur Ershov (2 years), Sergey Firsanov (1 year), Roman Maikin (2 years), Artem Ovechkin (1 year), Kirill Pozdnyakov (1 year), Alexander Serov (2 years) and Andrey Solomennikov (1 year).

There are also three new signings. Petr Ignatenko and Alexander Rybakov come from Katusha. Ignatenko is a good climber with four years of the UCI World Tour experience under his belt. His palmares include an overall win of the Giro della Valle d’Aosta, KOM jersey of the Tour of Romandy and top six in the GC of the Tour of Austria. Rybakov is an all-rounder, double winner of the Memorial of Oleg Dyachenko and a multiple stage races podium placer. Alexander Foliforov is another climbing specialist, who rode for ITERA-Katusha in 2014, finishing in top three in a couple of Tour de l’Avenir stages as well as concluding the prestigious race fourth overall.
