RusVelo riders continue to discover South America
Track endurance Russian national team has arrived to the Southern hemisphere to take part in the 10th edition of Tour do Brasil Volta Ciclística de São Paulo-Internacional. RusVelo duo of Alexander Serov and Artur Ershov are the most experienced riders in the lineup. Four riders of Russian Helicopters accompany them: Kovalev brothers, Ivan and Evgeny, Ivan Savitsky and Alexander Evtushenko. Also in the squad are Victor Manakov jr from Itera-Katusha and Kirill Sveshnikov from Lokomotiv. DS is Alexey Markov. The main goal is to use the opportunity to adapt the body to a new time zone and a different climate, which is even more important than chasing top spots in the tour. Actually, the UCI track World’s that will be held on the same continent remains the main priority.
A local rider, Flavio Cardoso, won the opening stage of the race; the Russian riders came in with the main bunch.
