SIDI a Major Player in the Tour de France
After the Pyrenees Sidi Sport is in the yellow jersey with Chris Froome.
The first day off is a day to consider the numbers. After the first 9 stages and the scaling of the Pyrenees, Sidi can look down on the general classification from a privileged position.
All the credit goes to Chris Froome (Team Sky). On Saturday in the184-km eighth stage, covering 4 MGPs on the Pyrenees from Pau to Bagneres-De-Luchon, with the fantastic moves of a champion Froome showed everyone that he is the strongest, not only on climbs but also in descents. He earned the stage victory and the yellow jersey. Of course, the Tour still has a long way to go and there are still a lot of mountains to climb, but right now it seems as if Froome is really on his way to victory in his third Tour de France.
Sidi is also immensely satisfied that at the moment they are in the first top two places in the general classification. In fact, in second place, just 16” behind Froome, is another English rider, Adam Yates (ORICA-BikeExchange), who is also wearing the white jersey as best young rider.
On the roads of the Grande Boucle Chris Froome can count on his new Sidi SHOT shoes. There could not have been a better debut for Sidi SHOT, which has immediately become a winner and a protagonist on the major international cycling scene. The Tour restarts on Tuesday, July 12th, with Sidi and Froome in the yellow jersey for the 10th stage covering197 km from Escalades-Engordany to Revel.
