Sidi Show at the Tour de France!

Purito Rodriguez wins the stage and Chris Froome dons the yellow jersey on the wall at Huy.
It was an exhilarating start at the Tour de France for the Sidi Sport colours. In the third stage that offered the same final as the Fleche Wallonne, the classic that arrives on the legendary wall called Mur de Huy, Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) laid down the law.

Purito Rodriguez came across the finish line with arms in the air at the top of the Mur de Huy, leaving behind Chris Froome (Team Sky), who nonetheless captured the yellow jersey. The Mur de Huy was the ideal launching pad for Purito, who had already captured the Fleche Wallonne here in 2012. This is Purito’s second career victory at the Tour.

It was an all-Sidi double, with stage victory going to Purito Rodriguez and the yellow jersey for Chris Froome. Now in the general classification Froome is in command with a mere second on Tony Martin (Etixx-Quick-Step), who is another great from the Sidi stables. Furthermore, Rodriguez had the pleasure of donning the polka-dot jersey as the best climber.
