What's Cool In Road Cycling

Ster ZLM Toer (UCI 2.1)

Riders cover 769 kilometres over the five stages of Ster ZLM Toer. The race opens with a 7.5 kilometre prologue in Westkapelle, followed by 187 kilometre stage finishing in Hoogerheide. The longest day comes on stage three, where riders cover 210 kilometres with a variety of tough climbs along the way. Another bumpy day forms stage four, with a flat day set to make for a fast finish on day five.

Team Sunweb coach Luke Roberts (AUS) said: “Our main goal at the Ster ZLM Toer is to develop our younger riders. With a few sprint finishes expected, Max will have the opportunity to aim for stage results. The riders that we have in support this week bring a lot of experience and strength for both the sprint stages and hillier stages, which will be great value for our chances.”
