Strava Launches New Effort Comparison Tool
See your efforts unfold on a map and view a virtual race with Effort Comparison
Strava, the online network connecting the global community of athletes, has launched a new Effort Comparison tool, allowing athletes to compare efforts of others and visualise segments on a whole new level.
The new Effort Comparison tool helps athletes see what really happened between the start and finish. The tool brings enhanced analysis to segments, making it easy to compare a segment attempt to an athlete’s personal best, or an athlete’s attempt against others on the leaderboard.
Now athletes can see their efforts unfold on a map to compare against friends or visualise the fight for the lead.
A map displays the athletes competing on the segment. A roster details second-by-second stats (speed, heart rate and power) for each athlete, while a chart graphs the time gaps and oscillations between them. Click the Play button and watch how the virtual race took shape.
The Effort Comparison tool allows Strava users to compare up to two athletes. Premium members can customize and compare up to five athletes on any given segment via an easily filterable leaderboard.
