Team Colombia, line-ups ready for Larciano, Toscana and Vuelta a Colombia

The summer race break for Team Colombia is coming to an end, as in the weekend, on July 26th and 27th, the Escarabajos will be back in action in Italy at GP Industria e Artigianato – Larciano and Giro di Toscana. Seven of Claudio Corti’s riders travelled back to Italy on Tuesday July 22nd, and will line-up at the start of both races, guided from the team car by Sports Director Oscar Pellicioli.

Veteran Leonardo Duque, who always showed competitive in late summer in his career, will lead the team, that will also rely on fast men Edwin Avila and Juan Esteban Arango, youngster Edward Diaz, Jonathan Paredes, Duber Quintero and Juan Pablo Valencia.

“We know Duque has a good record at this time of the season, as Juan Pablo Valencia does – Sports Director Pellicioli said – and we expect them to show a good pedal stroke in these comeback races, that will also be significant to evaluate everybody’s condition ahead of the final months of the season.”

The remaining eight riders will continue their training in Colombia until August 3rd, when they will be joined in Piedecuesta by the technical staff that will back them at the Vuelta a Colombia (August 6th-17th). Directed by Sports Director Oliverio Rincon and General Manager Claudio Corti, the team line-up will be made by Fabio Duarte, Jarlinson Pantano, Robinson Chalapud, Carlos Julian Quintero, Miguel Angel Rubiano, Rodolfo Torres, Jeffry Romero and Darwin Pantoja.
