What's Cool In Road Cycling

Team Colombia with the “Seleccion” At World Champs and Tour de l’Avenir

The proficient cooperation between Claudio Corti’s Team Colombia, the Colombian Ministry of Sports Coldeportes and the Colombian Cycling Federation continues and steps to a bigger level. After the very good experience at 2012 World Championships in Limburg, Italy-based Team Colombia’s trucks, logistic and personnel will once again support the Colombian national teams at the Road Cycling World Championships in Ponferrada, Spain, from September 20th to 28th.

More than that: for the first time, Team Colombia will also back the Under 23 Colombian Seleccion in two top European races for the category, GP Capodarco (August 15th), and the prestigious Tour de l’Avenir (August 23-30) in France.

Just before the start of the event, a masseur and the official bus of Team Colombia travelled to the Netherlands to support the BMX Colombian National Team at the World Championships in Rotterdam, running from July 23rd to 27th.

“The presence of an organized structure and logistic in Europe is very valuable for Colombia’s national teams – General Manager Claudio Corti explained – and the full cooperation among the Team, the Sports Ministry and the Colombian Cycling Federation is re-established and strengthened once again as they always found a professional partner in our team and structure, that proved capable to support the National teams in Europe at the very best. This time out we will also cover the Tour de l’Avenir, giving us a further opportunity to get in touch with some of the best Colombian prospects, and those who could show their talent in Europe in the future as professionals.”
