Team set to go stage hunting at Tour of Norway

After a brief rest period the Caja-Rural Seguros RGA team are back in action this week at the seventh edition of the Tour of Norway (2.HC).

The youthful five-man team will dispute the five stages which run from Wednesday 17th of May until Sunday 21st of May. The hilly stage profiles along with the small number of riders per team is expected to favour aggressive racing and breakaway riders.

In terms of expectations, the team will go into the race in the hope of claiming stage wins, counting on the experience of Lluis Mas as leader and Swiss Dylan Page as an option for the sprint stages.

The team will also be hoping to build on last years performance where they finished second overall in the team classification.

Lluís Mas: “Now I fell like I’m coming into a good patch of form. I came out of the Tour of Croatia with good form and after a few weeks training at home I am motivated to race in Norway. Last year we came close to winning the queen stage and the goal will be to go for a stage win again. I have studied the route and it’s a little hillier than last year so we will have to see how the legs are. We will take it day by day and try for a good performance.”

Line-up:
Hector Saez, Dylan Page, Lluis Mas, Nick Schultz, Alex Aranburu, Antonio Molina.
