Ulissi and Scarponi’s ambitions for Swiss races

Double Swiss appointment for LAMPRE-MERIDA, that will take part Gp Canton du Argovie Gippingen (6 June) and in Tour de Suisse (8-16 June).

On Thursday, in Gp Gippingen (181,5 km) Cimolai, Ferrari, Mori, Stortoni, Ulissi, Viganò and Wackermann will try to get to the title that in 2012 had been won by Lagutin.

In view of Tour de Suisse, the group that will be directed by Maini and Matxin will be reached by Michele Scarponi, who’ll form a competitive duo that could aim to be in the top part of the overall standing.

“I’ve recovered energies, resting for some days after Giro d’Italia – Scarponi explained – Now I’m focusing the attention on the Swiss race: I know it won’t be easy to be at the top, but I’m willing to try to get to important results.
Diego and me are a competitive duo and also the other team members can give us reliability indications”.

Ulissi too shows ambition: “After the break that follows my first part of the season, I performed a positive Bayern Rundfahrt that gave me even more spurs to try to be protagonist in Switzerland.
I like the course of Tour de Suisse, I think I could realize a good performance, also thanks to the presence of Scarponi”.
