Universal Sports Network Presents 2014 Cycling Series Featuring the Grand Tour of Spain – La Vuelta a España.

Inaugural Dubai Tour Kicks off Network’s Multi-platform Coverage of 2014 Road Cycling Season on Wednesday, February 5, at 6 PM ET.

Universal Sports Network will present a robust schedule of 23 international cycling events in 2014 both on air and at universalsports.com highlighted by the final grand tour of the season, the Vuelta a España, and the 2014 UCI Road Cycling World Championships. The network’s road cycling season coverage begins with the inaugural Dubai Tour tomorrow, February 5, at 6 PM ET and 4:45 AM ET live online.

At this week’s Dubai Tour, the world’s best cyclists including reigning World Champion Rui Costa, reigning Giro d’Italia champion Vincenzo Nibali, the multi-talented Peter Sagan, three-time and reigning World Time Trial Champion Tony Martin, four-time World Time Trial Champion Fabian Cancellara, current World No. 1 Joaquim Rodríguez, sprinters Mark Cavendish and Marcel Kittel, serial Grand Tour contender Alejandro Valverde and American up-and-comer Taylor Phinney will ride in the 4-stage race.

With more than 180 hours of exclusive television coverage this year, Universal Sports Network is firmly established as the leader in cycling coverage on American television. Other marquee events in this year’s cycling series include the Volta a Cataluyna, Tour of Belgium, Tour of Britain, Track Cycling World Championships from Colombia, Road Cycling World Championships from Spain, BMX World Championships from The Netherlands, the Mountain Bike World Championships from Norway, and the Cyclo-cross World Championships in The Netherlands.

In addition to TV coverage, all events are scheduled to be live streamed on universalsports.com for authenticated users. Universal Sports Network is now available on Time Warner Cable, Cox, Verizon FiOS, CenturyLink Prism, satellite providers DIRECTV and DISH, and numerous regional cable and IPTV operators in markets across the country.
