Wanty-Groupe Gobert to the Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain takes place from 4 to 11 September and is the biggest stage race in Great-Britain. 11 WorldTour teams will be present at the start in Glascow with many GC contenders: Tom Dumoulin, Tony Martin, Rohan Dennis, Dan Martin, Wout Poels. The team Wanty-Groupe Gobert will participate for the first time in this race.

Our line-up: Guillaume Martin, Marco Marcato, Enrico Gasparotto, Björn Thurau, Mark McNally and the stagiaire Xandro Meurisse. Sports director : Steven De Neef

It will be Enrico Gasparotto’s first race after his crash in the Tour de Wallonie. “It was longer because the real problem was my right hand. It took time to be good again. I’ll take the Tour of Britain day by day”, Enrico Gasparotto said.

Last year Xandro Meurisse finished as 10th in the general classification. The stagiaire is looking forward to this race. “I kept very good memories of last year. I like the Tour of Britain. I hope to get a nice result in one of the eight stages.”

Mark McNally will take part for the 8th time in the Tour of Britain and won the mountain jersey in 2014.

You can follow each stage LIVE on Eleven Sports Network and ITV.
