World Bicycle Relief + CycloFemme Raise $30K

World Bicycle Relief teamed up with CycloFemme to encourage people worldwide to join community-led rides on Cyclofemme’s sixth annual Mother’s Day ride and here are the results.

262 cities around the globe participated, resulting in over $30K raised for World Bicycle Relief so far ($15K was raised by participants and that figure was matched by an anonymous donor). These funds will go directly to provide 214 Buffalo Bicycles for girl students in Kenya. “Today, World Bicycle Relief and CycloFemme are celebrating a successful weekend filled with people who came together to not only ride bikes, but empower girls across the globe. Together, we are amplifying the voices of women and empowering women to change the world. We are thrilled that our shared efforts will provide over 200 bicycles directly to girl students in Kenya and we look forward to building on this incredible impact,” said Katie Bolling, Fund Development Director for World Bicycle Relief.
