Zwifters demolish fundraising goal, pull together $25k for injured cyclist in 2 days
Zwift’s Ride with Reason charitable initiative for the month of November.
The first week centered around Adrien Costa, a rising cycling star whose career was tragically ended with an amputation following an mountaineering accident.
Zwifters had to climb 1312 ft. on rides in the game to unlock special in-game shoes; if 25k Zwifters did so in one week, Zwift HQ would donate $25k to support Adrien.
Zwifters did it in just two days, securing the full amount (plus ad hoc donations from the pro cycling ranks) along the way.
There’s more on the challenge at zwift.com/news/9263-ride-with-reason.
