Alaphilippe Doubles In Pais Vasco!

PeloPics: Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors) took his second Pais Vasco stage win in two days as he out-sprinted Primoz Roglic (LottoNL-Jumbo), again, at the end of stage 2. In a repeat of stage 1, Alaphilippe attacked on the final climb to be joined by Roglic, Mikel Landa (Movistar) and Gorka Izagirre (Bahrain-Merida). The four held off the chase from behind and it was Roglic who led-out the sprint in the same manner as the final on Monday. Alaphilippe was too strong for the Slovenian and the Spanish riders. The Quick-Step Floors rider now has an overall lead of 8 seconds over Roglic with Gorka Izagirre moving into third at 39 seconds.
