PeloPics: Astana’s Colombian, Miguel Angel Lopez, clinches win in Tour of the Alps’ stage 2 preceding Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) and the new overall leader Ivan Ramiro Sosa (Androni-Sidermec). Another victory for Astana at the Tour of the Alps, the second after Pello Bilbao in Folgaria on Monday. Colombian Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana) claimed a superb win atop the iconic Alpe di Pampeago in stage 2, Lavarone – Alpe di Pampeago/Fiemme of 145,5Km.

The Colombian sprinted in the final meters to see off Thibaut Pinot and another Colombian, the surprising Ivan Ramiro Sosa, who took over the race lead, to make it a celebration day for the Colombian fans. Chris Froome (Sky) ended in fourth place, whilst Fabio Aru (UAE Team Emirates) couldn’t hold the pace in the final 2 kilometers.
