Catalunya: Yates Takes Stage – Valverde Final Overall

PeloPics: Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) soloed to victory in stage 7 of the Volta a Catalunya and moved to fourth place overall behind Alejandro Valverde (Movistar). Valverde’s teammate, Nairo Quintana moved into second overall after Egan Bernal (Sky) skidded out on a wet corner and had to be taken to hospital with a suspected broken shoulder. Valverde moved into the lead in the UCI WorldTour.
