What's Cool In Road Cycling

Fortuneo-Samsic: Training Camp And New Kit – Gallery And Video

From 1 January 2018 and for three seasons, the French team will race under the name and colors of Fortuneo-Samsic. In 1994, under the name Jean Floc’h, the history of the team began in the amateur ranks. They have come a long way in 23 years and the training is now proving itself in the biggest races, with four consecutive participations in the Tour de France.

Each year the team sets higher goals. To reach them, the workforce has been reinforced with the announcement of Warren Barguil’s signing.

The team is also structured on the extra-sport plan with the arrival of a new title sponsor, the Brittany company Samsic. In 30 years, the company has become the leader in business services in Europe and has over 80,000 employees in its workforce. A partner of Stade Rennais since 2004, Samsic can also congratulate itself on being the oldest sponsor of Ligue 1. From 1 January 2018 and for three seasons, it is under the name and colors of the Fortuneo Samsic Team the riders will battle in the pack.

Emmanuel Hubert, General Manager: “It’s around common values: the need, the collective, the respect, the effort, but also the well-being, that our cycling training, the Fortuneo Samsic duo and our jerseys partners found themselves. We have an ambitious project: to play at the highest level while maintaining the family environment that has made us strong. Brittany is also a common denominator … to 90%: the company LOOK has not yet moved to the west (laughs). I am very excited to be working with both Fortuneo and Samsic for three years. By committing to the long term, they bring us the stability we needed and give us the opportunity to prepare for the future. I am also very pleased to see the company Jean Floc’h and LOOK on our 2018 jerseys and to welcome a new Breton sponsor: the Legendre Group.”

The 2018 Jersey
Proud of the Breton origins and with two Breton partners, it was a desire and a duty to bring the colors of the region on the jersey. For this, we keep the picture of the sailor, which was present on the 2017 jerseys, and add a discreet but symbolic Gwenn Ha Du (Breton flag) at the back of the collar. Alongside the title sponsors Fortuneo and Samsic, there are three jersey sponsors: Legendre, Jean Floc’h and LOOK. Also the logo of a sixth partner, Nalini, the manufacturer of the 2018 outfits.

Each runner has personalized the right sleeve of his jersey with a sentence, a number or a symbol of his choice. Watch the sleeves of the riders!

Grégory Guermonprez, Director Fortuneo France: “Fortuneo has always been an ambitious challenger in its market. We have strong foundations and strong values, like Emmanuel Hubert’s team. We are excited to enter this season with new challenges and strengths, including the recruitment of Warren Barguil.”

Christian Roulleau, President and CEO of Samsic: “Our activity is based on a result of human arms where the sense of the collective and the organization make the difference. It is therefore logically that the Samsic Group supports sports clubs, all recognized for their performance. We were not yet in the bike but, knowing the visibility of a professional cycling team and having experienced a stage in the heart of the team on the 2017 Tour, I did not hesitate long before involving Samsic to this adventure. We are also happy to advertise with beautiful structures such as Fortuneo and the Legendre Group. We are now looking forward to seeing Warren Barguil and his teammates speak at the highest level and shine the company Samsic.”

Vincent Legendre, Chairman of the Legendre Group Executive Board: “Very attached to our roots, it was important for the Legendre Group to support this 100% Breton team in this adventure! Legendre is a group that has always promoted the values of endurance, team spirit and challenge, which it is essential to integrate for any sport. Exceeding oneself, challenging oneself in order to progress and achieve the objectives set are also pillars of top-level sport, as well as the fundamentals of the Group’s internal policy.”
