What's Cool In Road Cycling

John’s GP Montréal Photo Gallery

PeloPics: John Thomson has given his archive another good shake and his pick of the best photos from the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal from 2015 to 2017 has fallen out. Bad and good weather plus some of the top stars of the road make this Canadian race a true Classic.

John says: “This is my gallery for the Montréal GP from 2015 – 2017, where Eddy Merckx became 1974 world champion. The riders do 17 laps, so there are many opportunities to shoot them climbing and descending. I would walk from my hotel in downtown Montréal and grab one tuna and one chicken Subway sandwich for food and head to the top of the course for a day of cycling photographic bliss, in torrential rain or blistering sun, it didn’t matter.”
