Goodbye An Post Team!

PeloPic: The sad news came on Monday that the An Post-Chain Reaction team will not be in the peloton in 2018. Team founders Sean Kelly and Kurt Bogaerts have blamed Britain leaving European Union and the political problems in Cataluña for the sponsor problem. In a statement the pair said: “Considering the team’s strong links to Spain and the United Kingdom, the implications of Brexit and the political scenario in Catalunya impacted the decisions of interested parties but we remain undeterred. Our next objective is to secure a collaboration with a suitable sponsor by July of next year with the hope of returning to the International peloton with a strong and dedicated roster of talented riders.”

The team has helped many riders to develop and move on to bigger teams. Lets hope they are back in 2019.
