Happy Birthday Badger!

PeloPic: Happy birthday 63rd to ‘Le Blaireau’ (the ‘Badger’) for yesterday. One of only six riders to have won all three Grand Tours, and one of two cyclists to have won each more than once. Tour de France wins in 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982 and 1985. He came second in 1984 and 1986 and won 28 stages. Hinault is the only rider to have finished either first or second in each Tour de France he finished. He is the last French winner of the Tour de France. Plus three Giro d’Italia and two Vuelta a España. Add to that just about every Classic and you have a complete rider.
