Weekend Mud!
PeloPic: The road season has come to an end with the Tour of Guangxi and the UCI Cycling Gala presentation. We can now concentrate on the muddy (although dry at the moment) weekend cyclo-cross warriors. Looking through the Cor Vos archive, this photo of one of the best cross riders to come out of Britain, Steve Douce, jumped out from the 1986 World championships in Rad-Querfeldein. Douce was no slouch on the road either and a great bloke too. Winner on that muddy day was Albert Zweifel of Switzerland. The top men should be riding the Grote Prijs van Brabant on Saturday and the Telenet Superprestige in Ruddervoorde on Sunday. Last weekend’s cross videos in EUROTRASH.
