Cheated Death 3 Times, Now Back on the Bike

Meet Thor Bloomfield. Thor suffers from a life-threatening disorder called Cystic Fibrosis.

At the age of 40, Thor was staring death in the face. He was required to have a highly technical 9-hour lung transplant operation in order to live. After two emotional false starts, Thor had a successful transplant.

In fact, 9 months later he competed at the Australian transplant games, winning a gold medal in cycling.
