It’s a long flight to South America, where the Italian continental team led by team manager Ivan De Paolis will take part in the Vuelta a Colombia, which kicks off on Sunday, August 2nd with a 24 km team time trial in the capital, Bogota.

After yesterday evening’s prologue in Ljubljana, today was the 2nd stage, from Skofja Loka to Kocevje for 182 km, which resulted in an all-Italian podium with our own Antonio Parrinello taking a great second place in the bunch sprint won by Paolo De Negri (Nippo-Vini Fantini). Third place went to Simone Ponzi (SouthEast).

Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia has returned from their French adventure at the Ronde de l’Oise with a positive outcome, and especially with the conviction that they have what it takes to do well in their upcoming races.

Area Zero-D’Amico-Bottecchia will participate in the 34st Due Giorni Marchigiana, a classic on the Italian calendar for Elite and Under 23 riders, on Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, in Castelfidardo in the province of Ancona.
