Ben Healy won the eighth stage from the early breakaway. He went solo 50 kilometres to go and finished with a big lead in Fossombrone. There was also a battle amongst the GC men: Evenepoel lost time to Roglič, Geoghegan Hart and Thomas. Leknessund held pink.
