Le Tour’19 Final Stage 21: Ewan takes Paris – Bernal the Tour!

Stage Report: Lotto Soudal's Caleb Ewan won the final stage of the 2019 Tour de France on the Champs-Elysées. The Australian was the best in the mass sprint after 128 kilometres into the centre of Paris, Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma) finished a close second. Egan Bernal (Ineos) finished flanked by his teammate and second overall, Geraint Thomas.

Stage Report: Caleb Ewan gave his Lotto Soudal team his second stage win in the Tour de France. The Australian was the fastest sprinter, beating Elia Viviani (Deceuninck - Quick-Step), Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma). The yellow jersey remains on the shoulders of Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step), although Geraint Thomas crashed and Jakob Fuglsang had to abandon.

Stage Report: The break was never going to succeed, but Wanty-Gobert's Aime De Gendt nearly soloed into Toulouse. In the end the peloton could see the plucky Belgian on the wide boulevards and stage 11 came down to a sprint. After an elbows-out finalé it was Lotto Soudal's Caleb Ewan who threw his bike over the line ahead of Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma).

GIRO’19 Stage 11: Caleb Clobbers the Gallopers!

Race Report: In the expected bunch sprint, Lotto Soudal's Caleb Ewan won the 11th stage of the Giro d’Italia. In the gallop for the finish line in Novi Ligure he was to fast for Tuesday's winner Arnaud Démare (Groupama-FDJ), with Pascal Ackermann third and Elia Viviani fourth. This was the Australian's second stage win after victory in stage eight. Another day in pink for Valerio Conti.
