GIRO’22 Stage 14: Stage for Yates Carapaz in Pink!

At the end of a crazy attacking day on the roads of Torino, Simon Yates attacked on the final climb for the solo win. Richard Carapaz finished in the chase group to take the overall lead with Jai Hindley in second place after his BORA-hansgrohe team split the race. Juan Pedro López rode out of his skin, but lost the overall lead.

OLYMPICS’21 Men’s Road Race: Champion Carapaz!

At the end of a hot and humid day in Japan, Richard Carapaz gave Ecuador its first gold medal in the men’s Olympic road race on Saturday. Carapaz attacked with 25km to go after a move by Bradon McNulty (USA), he then went solo with 5.8km to go. Wout van Aert (Belgium) narrowly beat Tadej Pogačar (Slovenia) for the silver medal.

Le TOUR’20 Stage 18: INEOS Gets Their Stage Win!

Stage 18 was billed as the hardest day of the 2020 Tour de France and it was the INEOS-Grenadiers team who gave the mountains a good shake. Carapaz and Kwiatkowski made the break and then team time trialed to the finish. The top ten had some changes, but Roglič, Pogačar and López kept their podium places.
