With Dan Bigham recently setting a new World Hour Record in Grenchen, Switzerland. The British rider beat Victor Campenaerts' record by 400 metres. This got Ed Hood thinking about the evolution of cycling's modern Hour Record and how it got to where it is now.
The men's and women's British Hour Records are held by that super fast couple Dan Bigham and Joss Lowden, but Joss has one over on her partner, she also holds the World Hour Record. Ed Hood managed to have a chat after her record setting 48.405 kilometre ride.
The World Hour Record is again making the headlines with Alex Dowsett going for another attempt and talk of Filippo Ganna, setting good times in training. Jos Lowden broke the women's World Hour Record, followed by her partner, Dan Bigham successfully taking the British record. Ed Hood caught up with Dan to hear all about it.
