Team Giant-Alpecin is pleased to confirm the addition of the young and ambitious German duo Sebastian Deckert and Hendrik Werner to its coaching staff for 2017.

Team Giant-Alpecin's Lars van der Haar (NED) continues his cyclocross calendar this November with another busy month of DVV Verzekeringen Trofee, Hansgrohe Superprestige and UCI World Cup races.

In early June, Team Giant-Alpecin announced the introduction of a pioneering development program, starting in 2017, that will complement the existing men’s and women’s WorldTour programs.

On the program for Team Giant-Alpecin this week is the Abu Dhabi Tour, taking place Thursday through Sunday. It will be the team's second participation in this race organized by RCS, the race organizer of the Giro d’Italia, and Velon, the joint business venture of 11 UCI WorldTour cycling teams.

The final races of the World Championships campaign are the road races this weekend. The elite women will race a 28km section leading to a local circuit for a race total of 134.5km.

While Team Giant-Alpecin has been bringing the current road season to a successful close with top-10 finishes in the Eneco Tour GC, Milano-Torino and Giro di Lombardia, and a victory at the Münsterland Giro, from an organizational point of view the focus is also already on the 2017 season.

The German one-day race Sparkassen Münsterland Giro takes place next Monday. The 208km race kicks off in Gronau with the peloton completing a relatively flat course, before an anticipated sprint finish in Münster where Nikias Arndt (GER) sprinted to third place in last year's edition.

Team Giant-Alpecin lines up for the second of three Italian races this week at Milano-Torino. The 97th edition will take place on Wednesday 28th September on an almost identical course to the last year’s race, relatively steady and flat until the final 25km, where two sharp climbs will effectively decide the outcome for a total distance of 186km.
