GIRO Roadside: Switzerland Bound!

After missing out on the Mortirolo yesterday, Ed and Martin made point of soaking up the atmosphere at the start in Tirano, before shooting off towards Switzerland. But everyone is still talking about Alberto and the Mortirolo and the guys were taking it all in.

Race Report: Stage 17 could have been a dull day, but it was spiced up by the beautiful views of Lake Lugano and a very exciting last 20 kilometers into Switzerland. Sacha Modolo was given an armchair ride to the line and repaid his team with their fourth stage win.

Giro’15 St.16: Mikel’s Mortirolo Supremacy!

Race Report: Mikel Landa won the tough Mortirolo stage, taking his second stage win in this Giro d’Italia and moving into second overall. But the story of the day was Alberto Contador’s recovery and eventual domination of stage 16. He was over a minute down on Fabio Aru, but turned it round to a near three minute advantage on the Mortirolo. A great day of action.
