Giro Stage Report: With Thomas, Landa and Yates conceding several minutes due to crashes, today had all the drama of an Italian opera – breakaways, crashes and a final crescendo which saw pre-race favourite Nairo Quintana take flight from the other leaders to claim the stage victory and the pink jersey.

GIRO’17 St.8: Izagirre Powers to Victory in Peschici

Giro Stage Report: Spain's Gorka Izagirre of Team Movistar took Stage 8 of the Giro d'Italia in the seaside resort of Peschici after breaking away from the peloton nearly ninety kilometers from the finish and outlasting his fellow fugitives in a seesaw finale.  Quick Step's Bob Jungels is still the race leader heading into tomorrow's crucial mountain stage.

Giro Stage Report: Caleb Ewan finally shook off the shackles of the podium to win his first ever Giro d'Italia stage in a wonderful three up sprint. The Australian fast-man was up against the new order of sprinters; Bennett and Gaviria and it was a close decision on the finish line in Alberobello.
