VUELTA’20 Stage 7: Wonderful Woods Takes the Win!

The finalé of stage 7 into Villanueva de Valdegovia was a crazy affair of attack and counter attack from the leading group. In the end it was Canada's Michael Woods who held the lead to the line after he made his move in the last kilometre. Omar Fraile was second and Alejandro Valverde third. The GC stayed much the same.

Stage Report: Canada's Michael Woods (Education First-Drapac) mastered the cruel climb to the Balcón de Bizkaia for the Vuelta stage 17 win ahead of Dylan Teuns (BMC) and David De La Cruz (Sky). Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) and Enric Mas (Quick-Step Floors) took a little time from overall leader, Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott), but Nairo Quintana (Movistar) lost more time.
