TOUR’23 Stage 19: Mohorič Tops Off An Attacking Fast Day!

The Tour peloton rode stage 19 like it was a one-day Classic. It was hard to follow the action, as there were attacks, splits and breaks coming and going all day long. In the end, a group of three sprinted it out for Matej Mohorič to just win by the smallest margin from yesterday's winner, Kasper Asgreen. Ben O'Connor was third.

SANREMO’22: Magic Mohorič Drops Like A Stone!

The break of the day was caught at the bottom of the Poggio and the race was on. Tadej Pogačar put in multi-big attacks, but it was Matej Mohorič who went for the solo win on the Poggio descent. The Bahrain rider held off the chasers for the 'other' Slovenian to be Victorious.

A 250 kilometre stage seemed to be a step back into Tour de France history, with memories of hours of dull viewing. In the end, stage 7 was far from tedious. Matej Mohoric was the worthy winner of a stage that blew the race apart. Mathieu van der Poel was part of the big break and guaranteed his yellow jersey for another day.
