Nico Denz won stage 14 of the Giro d'Italia after winning two days ago. The German of BORA-hansgrohe sprinted to victory from the early break. Derek Gee finished second for the third time, Alberto Bettiol was third. Bruno Armirail was part of the early break and took enough time to take the pink jersey from Geraint Thomas.

Nico Denz followed his countryman, Pascal Ackermann, onto the podium of stage 12 of the Giro d'Italia. The BORA-hansgrohe rider had the fastest sprint of a leading group of three. Toms Skujiņš was second, Sebastian Berwick third. The peloton came in well down, but there was no change on the overall.
