The day of the successful break. The Break of the day was big and there was no rider who was a danger on GC. The lead group worked well, but the eventual splits came in the final 30 kilometres. Stefano Oldani, Lorenzo Rota and Gijs Leemreize held off the others for Oldani to win a cat-and-mouse sprint from Rota.
