Tour Rest Day No.1: Ten days down and it's the 2019 Tour de France first rest day. Ed is in a 'virtual' cafe in the historical town of Albi with a café au lait avec brandy and this morning's copy of L'Equipe. Time to look back over what has been a very good first week in the 'Grande Boucle'.
Stage Report: Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) won the 5th stage of the Tour de France in Colmar. The triple World champion was the fastest in the sprint from a peloton thinned by the climbs. Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) finished in 2nd place, with European champion Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-Scott) in 3rd. Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) retained the yellow jersey.
