It's well known that we like Cipollini bikes here at PEZ. Like Mario, they have that Italian flair and style. Roger Paperno lives in Southern California, the perfect setting for his Cipollini Bond 2 built up with Shimano Dura-Ace and Campagnolo Bora wheels.
Today's Readers' Rig is a real 'beaut' from down-under. Nic had a Baum Orbis frame hand-made in remembrance of his grandmother and then shod it with SRAM Etap and a pair of Schmolke wheels. Nic tells us all about it, along with some great photos.
This submission is a very sharp looking Eddy Merckx EMX-3 that's a bike with Belgian origins but an Italian heart and is owned by an Asian from Mexico - it doesn't get much more international than that. A fine mix of traditional Campagnolo and modern design KCNC, topped off with a stunning paint job.
Seeing as the gaze of all cycle race fans will be on Belgium on Saturday, today's Readers' Rig is a large Ridley Helium SL decked out in retro Belgian Lotto team colors. The bike is a new addition to reader Steve's stable, but one that he is already well and truly in love with.
