David Pearce has come to the end of his Tour Down Under with the final stage 6 circuit race in Adelaide. As always he sends in a photo collage that takes in the full atmosphere of the Australian WorldTour race, Adelaide and the star of the show; the Santos Tour Down Under.
A desperate attack by pre-race favorite Richie Porte saw him steal the queen stage but he couldn't quite reach the leader's jersey falling two seconds short as Rohan Dennis hung on in fine style. The sentimental favorite Cadel Evans was also well in attendance as was a simply huge Aussie crowd with our photographer David Pearce right in amongst them all to capture these great images of all the action.
There are many things that make the Tour Down Under one of the best World Tour races of the calendar to visit - from the amazing scenery to the quality racing but the TDU wouldn't be the race it is without the fans. Day three of David Pearce's Australian adventure takes in stage 2 of the Santos Tour Down Under. More big crowds were at the roadside to greet the riders as they battled towards the up-hill finish in Stirling. With all the Joey's around we are definitely in Australia, but it was a day for the Spanish.
