Another exciting Tour stage with a nail-biting climax on the Col de la Loze. Miguel Ángel López put in the final attack on the final leg breaking ramps, the yellow jersey, Primoz Roglič tried to go with him and took lengths from second placed Tadej Pogačar. That's how they finished and Lopez jumped to third overall.

The first day of the final week was not one for the GC men as the break of the day went all the way to the finish as Lennard Kämna soloed to the line a minute and a half ahead of 2019 Giro d'Italia winner, Richard Carapaz. The GC men finished together, although Nairo Quintana lost a little time. Egan Bernal lost a lot.

As we embark on the final week of the 2020 Tour de France, Ed Hood looks at the action so far. Sunday's stage 15 ended a few hopes, but the race is not over yet and the battle of the Slovenians is still on, with a couple of Colombians and Adam Yates waiting in the wings.

Continuing with Ed Hood's series of 'English speaking' Tour de France pioneers, Ed moves onto Derek Harrison. Sadly Harrison died in May, 2018 in his adopted home of France, but his pro career spanned the 60s and 70s and include many top wins and two appearances in the French Grand Tour.

On the final climb of the day, the Grand Colombier, the 2020 Tour de France was probably decided. Egan Bernal and Nairo Quintana lost their hold on the lead group driven by the super-strong Jumbo-Visma team. At the end of the stage; Tadej Pogačar was first over the summit ahead of Primoz Roglič and Richie Porte.

A day that was blown apart by BORA-hansgrohe to rid the peloton of the sprinters for Peter Sagan to gain points. In the end, after many attacks, it was a move by Søren Kragh Andersen with 3km to go that won the day. Primoz Roglič kept the yellow jersey on his shoulders.

After showing his style at the weekend, young Sunweb rider Marc Hirschi confirmed his class with a stunning stage 12 win, crossing the finish line solo for his first Tour stage victory. The longest day in the saddle was no snore-fest with action from the start. Primoz Rogilč (Jumbo-Visma) finished in the peloton to hold yellow.
